Brendan's Journey

Just two weekends ago, I attended one of the best men's retreats I can remember with some of the guys from our church at Jacob's Well.

The retreat theme was centered around the sea journeys of St. Brendan, a celtic monk who lived from about 484 a.d.-587.  The  retreat challenged me in my pursuit of God, and has remained meaningful to me as I continue to think about  the things I heard and experienced.  I am grateful to the team of guys who worked so hard to prepare the weekend for us.

"King of the mysteries, will You set watch over me?
Christ of the mysteries, can I trust you on the sea?"
